Why Trans Women Belong in Womb Work: An Empress Embodiment Perspective on the Spirit Womb

As a womb mentor, one of the questions I am asked most often is:
“What about trans women?”
My answer is simple:
Trans women are absolutely welcome in womb work.
When I work with trans women on their Empress EmbodimentTM, I often speak about what I call the Spirit Womb.
The Spirit Womb is not dependent upon anatomy. Rather, it is an energetic, symbolic, and spiritual center of creation, intuition, sovereignty, pleasure, and transformation.
Much of womb work is already rooted in the unseen.
Most people cannot physically see their uterus, cervix, or reproductive organs, yet their connection to them remains real.
Through meditation, ritual, embodiment practices, and inner exploration, we cultivate relationships with aspects of ourselves that exist beyond what is visible.
The same principle applies to the Spirit Womb.
Even when a womb is not physically present, its symbolic and energetic wisdom may still call someone toward deeper connection with their creativity, sovereignty, intuition, pleasure, and capacity to bring something new into the world.
For many trans women, the journey of becoming often begins with an inner knowing: a quiet truth calling them toward greater authenticity. In my experience, connection to the Spirit Womb can become another way of deepening that relationship with self, sovereignty, and embodiment.
Of course, womb work is never one-size-fits-all. Every person has a unique relationship with their body, nervous system, life experiences, and sense of self. My role as a guide is to meet people where they are and support their individual journey.
For trans women, this may involve cultivating a relationship with the Spirit Womb in a way that feels meaningful, affirming, and authentic to them.
The Divine Feminine flows through all of us, regardless of gender identity, expression, or presentation. Connection to the Divine Feminine, and to the Empress archetype, is available to everyone.
Trans, cisgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive people are all invited to explore the full spectrum of who they are.
At the same time, every human being on this planet has a relationship to the power of the womb. We all began our physical existence within one.
Every body is formed within a womb.
Every life enters the world through its creative power.
I deeply appreciate the many teachers and practitioners who have helped bring womb work into the mainstream. At the same time, I believe there is still room for greater inclusivity and expansion in these conversations.
In my own work, a significant portion of my clients identify somewhere on the LGBTQ+ spectrum. What I have witnessed repeatedly is that the Divine Feminine is not limited by gender, anatomy, or identity.
Likewise, exploring the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine is not about reinforcing rigid binaries. Rather, it is about understanding the spectrum of energies that exist within all of us.
The Empress archetype is not merely an invitation into traditional ideas of femininity or womanhood.
She is an invitation into wholeness.
She challenges the imbalance of hyper-productivity, constant striving, and the belief that our worth is determined by our output.
She is both protest and prophet.
She is both model and initiation.
The Empress teaches sovereignty, creation, compassion, pleasure, rest, and trust in life’s natural cycles.
Many creatives, healers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries, regardless of gender, struggle beneath the weight of a culture that demands constant production, endless visibility, and perpetual performance.
The Empress reminds us that we are not machines.
We are living beings.
Whether through the body, the Spirit Womb, or the Empress herself, the invitation remains the same:
Come home to yourself.
Everything you seek has been waiting for you there.
